A Leaked 2009 BlackBerry Roadmap has made its way online and it looks like there will be a bunch of BlackBerry devices that will hit North America Next year.
You can click on the image to get a clearer picture of what is in the road map…
I don’t know how legitimate this road map document is, however, we have heard rumors about all of these devices before with the exception of one… The Storm “Slider”
I’ve been saying for well over a year that RIM should come out with a device with a touchscreen and a slide-out keyboard. If this road map is correct, European users may be the first to try one out…

Very intriguing indeed!
It appears to me that the 9030 or “Bold” series will replace the old 8830 models and that the 8930 Curve or “Jupiter” will be a refresh of the 8330.
As a current Verizon 8130 user and ironically a T-Mobile employee (sacrilegious – I know) I’m stoked to get my hands on the new 89xx Curve in February. This will ultimately determine if I go with it or the Storm when I’m up for my upgrade in less than a year.
Great to see the Verizon versions of the Bold and Javelin slated for 1st half of 2009.
Interesting about a touch screen version of the Bold targeted for second half of 2009. I’m sure some will like that, but I don’t see much reason for a touch screen on a unit that also features a physical keypad.
Jupiter couldn’t come soon enough. Everytime I give my Storm a second chance, it does something to drive me insane as I resort back to my ‘retired’ Pearl. Jupiter with evdo rev. A would be sweet.
WTF. This is bogus. This has been floating around for a long time.
This is NOT an official document (Trust me, I have given the drop to a specific site on a TON of BlackBerry info).
RIM does NOT use wording like “Possible”, “Possibly”, “Maybe”, “May have”, etc.
This post should be renamed “FABRICATED RoadMap Created And Leaked”.
WTF,
I believe this should be a little more definitive:

That looks like a shot of our internal T-Mobile news website/system….
Yes. That’s legit. I posted about that on the 23rd and the pics came out today. I am not questioning the authenticty of that document as I know its legit (for obvious reasons).
The document above is what I am referring to.
Someone took “guesses”, used word to create a fake document, and now its being passed around the blogs as a “leaked document”.
Can’t remember where this originally popped up months ago, but now everyones posting it like it came out of Waterloo when it obviously is not legit at all.
Lets hope 2009 is better than 2008 for RIM. When the old work horses from 2006 are still the primary devices for the blackberry enthusiasts there is BIG problems.
For RIM’s sake:
-Universal BlackBerry Desktop Software.
-Stop innovation by following the industry leader Apple with their iPhone, the Blackberry is not a iPhone, and will never be a iPhone. If RIM see’s the need to partner with Apple so be it, but they will never out Apple Apple.
-Better to completely overhaul the BB device OS sooner than later. It’s already been showing it’s age and as devices get more and more advanced the BB OS is going to be a real problem.
-Open up a few well placed retail/service/learning locations. A few brick and mortar locations will only help strengthen the BB brand.
-Start selling non-branded, unlocked BB’s with RIM firmware NOT service providers firmware which always does more harm than good. People, especially enthusiasts want RIM BB’s not verizon, sprint, tmobile,at&t BB’s.
Now for the toughest one:
-Give enthusiasts, consumers, a reason again to buy a Blackberry instead of a Apple iPhone.
@The rock: I completely agree. Not only is the OS getting tired but very unwieldy. It has poor performance…does not play nice with existing Jave ME apps (imcompatible or runs slower then native rim apps). The api is unfriendly towards developers therefore you have terrible blackberry apps. poor documentation, mysterious and convoluted. The OS needs a huge overhaul, this should be their top priority! They need to do that especially for the STORM! No matter how they tweak and fix the software, the performance is still totally unacceptable. If even RIM can’t make their own apps run fast what are third party devs supposed to do?
Hi Rob
This gives me hope tht the flip may come to verizon. still not wild about the storm. How do you feel about it now?
this cant be real. read the information on the javelin, it says the resolution is 460×320, but the blackberry website says its 480×360
