Let me start off by saying that this is not an iPhone vs. BlackBerry post. It is an Amazon Kindle post.
There are, undoubtedly, iPhone users that will never buy an Amazon Kindle, however, might possibly by an ebook for the Kindle since there is a Kindle App for the iPhone. Think about it, Amazon will make a lot of money selling the Kindle. They, will, however, over time make a lot more money selling the books.
There are over 50 million BlackBerry users out there. Many of them will never buy a Kindle either. If there were an Amazon Kindle App for the BlackBerry, guess what a few of them might buy?
[Press Release]
BB Storm, yes.
Other BB, no.
Doing so, pretty soon all the people in 20’s will start wearing “reading glasses”.
There are other ebook reader available, for other kind of ebooks. maybe they are better than this
One of the great parts of the iPhone app is that it synchronizes with your Kindle so you can be reading on the Kindle at home then switch to the iPhone, on the same page you left off at home, when you are somewhere that you may not have your Kindle. I too hope for the same app for the Blackberry.
both are great, just that some people like the blackberry and others the iphone.
I was thinking about buying a Kindle, but just wasn’t sure how often I’d feel like carrying yet another device. Now that Amazon has the ap for iPhone, I’m betting they will eventually release one I can use on my BB Storm, so I’ll wait it out.
50 million blackberry users, huh?
try about 24 million, and counting. soon enough though it will be 50 million!
I totally agree. I don’t need another laptop sized device but would buy ebooks for my Blackberry.
I have a kindle, but would love an app for my blackberry tour for kindle for those times my kindle battery goes dead and I want to read my book or forget my kindle and have too much time on my hands. 🙂
