May 28th is a Sunday. How many big releases happen on Sunday??
The weekend of Memorial Day weekend at that.
I agree…that date makes no sense.
Also, note the sloppy reference to the Palm 700…no version identifier at the end…not the “700p” or “700w”…just “700”…that may seem trivial, but to a carrier that would be a big deal.
Also, notice the designation of the LG phone…it has the model number and then the phrase “by LG”…not “LG LX550” as would be consistent with the phraseology used with the other models.
Finally, why in the world does a carrier drop 3 brand new phones on one day? Wouldn’t it make sense to release them on different days, for maximum buzz? If they really did follow through with this release, the Palm 700 would overshadow the other units.
Bottom line: this seems rather goofy.
