I just got an email from a RIMarkable reader named Steffen that has a picture of a BlackBerry being used in Episode 6 of 24. I don’t remember this but think that I still have 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Tivo so I will have to go back a take a second look.

Research in Motion never really advertises on TV but I wonder how much they paid to get this puppy with such a clear shot onto one of the most popular TV shows in America?
I’ve found a loophole that could keep RIM running at least until the end of this season of 24. NTP has stated that government agencies will not be subject to the BlackBerry injunction if imposed. Jack Bauer, however, doesn’t technically work for CTU any longer, therefore, he is not a government employee. If RIM is shutdown, Jack may not be able communicate with key individuals via BlackBerry thus putting the United States at risk for some type of terrorist attack. We can’t have that so the president should issue an executive order mandating that RIM not be shut down due to national security.

Your kidding right? Maybe you watch different channels than I do. I see BlackBerry/RIM advertisments all the time. Getting tired of seeing Mike Lazaridis drawing a BlackBerry on the chalkboard.
I watch more TV than what was once thought to be humanly possible but I honestly have never seen a BlackBerry commercial in the United States.
I dont think I have seen any BB adverts on UK TV yet?
