We’ve been hearing that the Verizon BlackBerry Tour would be coming out this summer for some time now, however, it would appear that the device has made it’s way into Verizon’s database. That means the BlackBerry Tour has to becoming out very soon doesn’t it? Not necessarily, but, one can hope.
I am all but sure that I will be getting a Tour as soon as it comes out, unless, however, an updated OS of the BlackBerry Storm so spectacular comes out that it makes the Storm function as well as everyone thought it would when it was first announced.

LOL….. Enjoy the Tour.
I won’t hold my breath any longer for the OS update. I give up. I sent an email to RIM’s Support:
What can I do as a user of a RIM Blackberry Storm, to get my carrier to release an update for my OS? What is RIM doing to push Verizon to release ANY update of the .75?… blah blah blah
Short response: Download Desktop Manager
Hack Or Go Home!
Next phone might be an WinMo Phone
I have to support this device as officially as I can at my office. I hate to whine, but I can’t go around installing .141 on 20 Storms and lose “Support” from Verizon on those.
Jman,
“Hack Or Go Home!” OR upgrade to another service provider. For BB’s AT&T is still the KING.
“Twice as many smart phone users have picked AT&T over any other wireless U.S. carrier, owing to the carrier’s array of smart phones, its fast wireless network, and its 20,000 hot spots, according to research AT&T released on Friday.
All the AT&T smart phones are useful globally because they operate on the GSM standard, which is used in nearly 90 percent of the world, the company noted.”
Comscore: AT&T sells twice as many smart phones as any competitor.

Now they just have to figure out how to get value out of those devices on AT&T’s crap network…
These are communication devices. If the network is not good like with AT&T, neither is the device.
I don’t mind Verizon’s release pace. It keeps me from the temptation of expensive, counterproductive spastic device upgrading.
As for the Storm’s OS, my solution was simple: I returned it, no more problem.
I’m back to using my 8703e, and waiting until the Tour is nice and stable.
Couldn’t be happier.
I am beyond excited for the Tour from Verizon.
I really held out on getting the Storm and I am ecstatic about the Tour so yes I will be the impulsive buyer asking the poor sales reps tons of questions because I am ready to upgrade lol.
I love my Curve and it is the first BB I have ever owned but too much has passed leaving it in the dust as a legend (considering it has the highest sales numbers in the smartphone category PWNING the IPhone xD).
