I am still not 100% sure how RIM managed to create such an aesthetically pleasing application, however, that being said, BlackBerry Traffic Beta is now available to all in BlackBerry App World Test Center.
With lots of places to go, and people to see, planning to be where you need to be on time can be a challenge. Thanks to BlackBerry Traffic, you can easily plan to be where you need to be—on time.1 Get your estimated time of arrival (ETA), find out if a road is closed, or decide to take an alternate route, all ahead of time. Heading to a friend’s place? Simply grab their address from your BlackBerry contact list, get your ETA, then email or text it along with a preset message to avoid keeping them waiting and wondering when you’re going to arrive. Making – and keeping – plans just got a whole lot easier.
BlackBerry Traffic Beta is a free BlackBerry download and you can pick it up here. If you decide to try it out, come back, leave us a comment, and tell us what you think.
Installed it and ran it for a while Seems pretty stable. Only complaint I would have is that the screen (on the Bold anyhow) seems to stay lit the whole time. That, paired with the GPS, kills the battery.
^ Yea true, but it is a well done app! I like it, the only thing I would like to see is voice directions, and a way to view a physical map to see surrounding streets.
