Here is another one of those strange free BlackBerry promotions. Buy four tires from National Tire and Battery and get a free T-Mobile BlackBerry 7100t or 7230.
It looks like the folks over at NTB have teamed up with YourFreeBlackBerry.com to offer a free BlackBerry to anyone who buys 4 tires from NTB during the month of August. You can get your free BlackBerry in one of two ways. Either call 1.888.802.8587 with your invoice or log onto YourFreeBlackBerry.com with the following promo code: TKNTBMTA.
All requests must be made before September 30 and a one your voice and data plan from T-Mobile are required. Offer is good at participating NTB, Tire Kingdom, and Merchent’s Tire and Auto Centers.
I have called several times the 1-888-802-8587 and received no return call.
I would like the order my free blackberry. I have the Tire Kingdom promo
code.
I ordered mine on the freeblackberry web page. I called later and got no answer and the voice mail was full, but I finally got someone and was told I should see mine in a week. Time will tell.
One thing about this and I am sure the other have similar items. You better be prepared to keep the phone for a year. The time it takes to get the phone will streatch the 14 – 30 day free trial and you have to pay for the phone ($350) and T-Mobile @200 termination if you try to leave the plan, so be sure before ordering.
We run the http://www.yourfreeblackberry.com site for NTB and we activate the customer’s device the day it is shipped which in most cases, still allows the customer at least 10 days to see if they want to keep their service. The contract will be included with the phone, as well as contact information and policies for a return if needed. This is a legitimate deal and we have been in business for more than 3 years servicing thousands of customers nationwide. The charge for the device is necessary because it is our actual cost. Unfortunately, a few customers have misunderstood the offer from NTB, as far as requiring a new activation, and this has lead to several hundred calls today. I apologize for any inconvenience and would like everyone to know that we are working hard to fix any issues with the mailbox.
It is best to do your orders online to ensure efficiency at this time. NTB is a fantastic company with a great reputation for customer service and we are very pleased to be a part of their team. The customer is required to sign a new agreement with voice and data service or data service only; it cannot be a current customer at this time. We sincerely apologize for any confusion and inconvenience. This is still one of the best, if not the best, BlackBerry offer out there.
When I try to log into the yourfreeblackberry page, I don’t get anything when I click where it says “click here.” When I call the 888-802-8587 number, I only get referred to the web site. This is starting to look like a scam.
Same as above. I keep getting referred to this web-site and it doesn’t work. I want my free blackberry! It’s already 8/23. Time is running out.
I have called several times and have gotten no response. Your statement above claims that this is not a scam. Well I thin otherwise. Why do we not get return phone calls and where is the BlackBerry???
I HAVED CALL THE 1 888-802-8587 AND NO RESPONSE IT SAYS TO LOG INTO http://WWW.YOURFREEBLACKBERRY.COM I LOGGED IN SUBMITTED MY FORM ON 8/18/2005 AND IT’S 8/24/2005 ALREADY I HAVE NOT GOTTEN NO RESPONSE IN MY EMAIL NOR A CALL WHAT SO EVER. I HAVE CALLED T-MOBILE DIRECT AND THEY CLAIM THEY HAVE NO SUCH PROMO WITH NTB AND NO RECORD OF ORDER PENDING UNDER MY NAME. SO I SAY THIS IS A BUNCH OF B.S. ALL NTB WANTS IS BUISNESS.
BUT IF ANYBODY WANTS TO COMPLAIN TO NTB/TIRE KINGDOM DIRECT CALL 1-800-423-KING OR 1 800-926-8473 THEY MADE THIS FAKE PROMO.
After spending close to $1,000 on tires, there should be a refund or discount coming if this is a scam – can you say class action?
Hello what a shame. Yes I too spent munch mula for my tires. Should have gone to Cosco where You get what you pay for no gimmics.
I suggest everyone call and complain. I too have called and the mail box was full. The web site worked Sunday and today is no where to be found.
One thing for sure if I don’t get results will go to the FCC, AND TO COMSUMER AFFAIRS AND FILE A FRAUD CLAIM INVESTIGATION.
This is a shame. I too have struggled with getting someone to call me back, and mostly box is full. The website worked Sunday, and today it isn’t anywhere to be found. I suggest everyone complain to the FCC, AND TO COMSUMER AFFAIRS AND FILE A FRAUD CLAIM WITH NTB AND BLACKBERRY FOR THIS FALSE PROMOTION. INFACT GOING STRAIGHT TO THE MEDIA MIGHT BE THE BEST OPTION.
I spoke with someone at the toll free number about two weeks ago and she said I had been approved and my blackberry had been shipped. I, of course, have not received it. I phoned back and have yet to get a hold of anyone again. I hope they are not in the identity theft biz…..
I submitted my online app on this past Sunday and called on yesterday August 29 2005 and the mail box was full. After several calls back to the 1 888 802 8587 number someone answered and referred me to another number and the mail box was full. I believe it is a sham as well. I will contact the authorities and inform them of this issue.
I too work with the Blackberry promotion. It is not a fraud, but you people do have to realize that we get atleast 300 calls a day, not including voice mails left fromm 5:30pm-8:30am central time, and on the weekends, seeing as though we are not open on those days.
Now that people believe the promotion is ending by the end of August our calls have more than doubled, my personal email is acorde@wbswireless.com any time an email is sent to me, I do respond to it, and we DO respond to every voice mail left, but you have to leave your area code also, and extention if it is an office number.
There has also been a glitch in the system due to so many orders being put in, but we have fixed that so the site is up and running.

Remember, if you have already purchased your tires, and/or you have your flyer, you may enter your order any time up until 9/30/05.
Please allow up to a week for an email concerning your order, and another week for you to receive your phone if approved.

I would like to know how to sign up for the free blackberry. I bought four tires from NTB because of this promo, now I seem to be getting the run around treatment. Whats going on here?
Log on to http://www.yourfreeblackberry.com
I have recieved my Blackberry on last friday, I would like to say the offer of a free blackberry is real.
I have called 2 times in the aquired time slot. Always full. I got a call back once , I wasn’ home. NTB. Also how do I apply online since there’s been no response?
Has anyone noticed that the link at the top of this page is http://www.yourfreeblcakberry.com/ not http://www.yourfreeBLACKberry.com? Maybe if Blackberry was spelled correctly the link would work. I called and got someone named Annie. I asked her if there were any other devices and they said that the RAZR and 7290 were available. Has anyone else heard otherwise?
Thanks Joel,
You are the first to notice or at least mention it. The link has been updated.
NTB salesman said being a current T-Mobile customer was ok. That is NOT true. The offer is NOT valid if you are current T-Mobile customer. I spoke w/T-Mobile, they are not aware of this promotion. I’ve tried calling the 1-800-802-8587 to get more details, but I get a constant busy signal. I called NTB @ 1-800-926-8473 to complain. Operator said she would forward my complaint to “corporate”. We’ll see how far I get. I am “out-of-contract” w/T-Mobile and would like to re-new, but that still does not qualify me for the free phone. I think the more complaint calls they get the better!
I think tire kingdom is a rip off anyway how about they wanted to charge me one hundred and sixty dollars for a strut mount that i went to the dealership and got for seventy bucks and I would love to have my blackberry or some of my damm money back jerks yes i can say lawsuit
this site is suppose to be http://www.yourfreeblackberry.com i am suppose to click on the pink buttone place order there is not on then when i go to yourfreeblackberry.com it brings up up different cites i clicked on the phone cite and it gave me www. rimarkable.com cite. I have already bought my 4 tires and this promotion suppose to end dec. 31
all i can say is this sucks i do not thing there really is a http://www.yourfreeblackberry.com cite. i am like the others i think this is a gimmick.
The web-site doesn’t work…the “congratulations” page doesn’t come up so you keep circling in a stupid loop and the phone is always busy with no wait for next available person….just call back. So, if this is an indication of the quality of your service…..bye.
I submitted my request on November 10, 2005. After hearing nothing for five weeks I tried calling. It took several times to get through to someone. This person told me that my application had been turned down due to credit. I know my credit is in good standing. They said they would rerun the credit and I could check on the status on http://www.statusrequest.com They also stated I would receive a letter in the mail stating the reason behind the refusal. Three months after submitting my inital application my approval status is still in denied. Well, I know for a fact that my credit is fine. To prove this I went to a T-Mobile store to check my credit. I was approved for 10 lines! This promotion is not a scam but is extremely unorganized and lacking communication severely. If you are in no hurry to get a phone and feel like haggling over this for three months (and counting) then go ahead with this promotion. Otherwise, you would be better off saving your valuable time and getting a phone yourself. I am still waiting on that letter….
After reading this site I made a decision to go ahead and go to the http://www.yourfreeblackberry.com website, and I placed my order, and I have received my phone, and due to the fact that the phones were on back order I also received a free car charger. I think that some people on here are either upset because they have really bad credit, and others want in the drama… and some people did fall through the cracks in this promotion… I mean think about it, if it’s been going on since august, thousands of people must have replied, things like that happen, and I understan you’re upset but is that a reason to give bad reviews? Stop being so childish, I give this company kudos for putting up with morons every day.
One more thing, if the ‘congratulations page doesn’t come up’ then how did you know there was one ? LOL
Read through many of the comments listed above. I have been an NTB customer for several years now and although have received good service I’m highly dissappointed in this promo gone bad. Although I concur with some of the statements issued by Macey, I have to be quite frank in that this has shed a very negative light on both NTB and Blackberry in the utter disorganization and inability to manage a promo. Furthermore, as a consumer, it is not my responsibility to ensure that there is both adequate staffing and processes in place to accomodate the demand of this promo. However, it is my responsibiity as a consumer, to report to fellow consumers of the inadequate service that has been provided and to date, five months after my first submittal of information, advise non-receipt of a blackberry. To me this is a “red flag” which warrants a “buyer beware” statement.
I sharply disagree with Macey’s statement in which a judgement statement was cast out over those that had not received their blackberry’s of the possibility of poor credit. As an individual in banking for over 20 years; I’ve managed quite well my credit rating and can without hesitation advise that lack of phone does not = lack of good credit.
Lastly, it would be my recommendation to those taking the path which I’ve now sought, to issue a consumer complaint to both NTB and Blackberry, and without hesitation an additional complaint to the Better Business Bureau if adequate response is not received in the next 30 days.
I agree with Macey, and just because you’re been in Banking doesn’t mean you have great credit either, and any of you could be lying. I received 4 phones from them, and they let me apply again with one of my family members.
I think that people should read the SMALL print on the flyer before applying, and that anyone to be immature enough to report anything to the BBB needs to rethink their maturity level.
It’s ridiculous how people are just after money these days.
I give NTB and this program 2 thumbs up.
Hilary
