Is this the first image of the BlackBerry Storm3 to hit the web? An anonymous tipster sent this in to BerryReview.com. I’ve got to say that I kind of like how this looks. The Storm3 is rumored to to be WiFi hotspot capable and have 8GB of internal memory as well as a 3.7 inch screen.
Let’s hope that at least a a gigabyte or more of that internal memory can be used to run applications and that apps can be stored outside of RAM in internal memory if not on a removable media card.
This kind of looks like the HTC Incredible. I heard on Twitter that this will have a 1GHz processor and support for augmented reality.
I was actually thinking the same thing…
Rob, I know that you really didn’t care for the the Blackberry Torch so do you think that this will be better?
Never again.
I’ve heard so many people that hate the BlackBerry Storm, but, I love my Storm 2. Bought it for 50 bucks. I would get a Storm 3 in a heartbeat…
I think BlackBerry OS 6.0 would be great with a juiced up CPU and graphics resolution.
I would love to give RIM the benefit of the doubt with the 8GB internal memory. But if memory serves me right (no pun intended) RIM has been playing the “Internal Memory advertisement game” for years. Everyone who does not know BlackBerry assumes you can install Apps on the 8 GB…. Clearly they know this. Who gives a rip how much internal memory you get when they include a 16GB media card! That is unless you can install Apps on it. I bet most Storm users don’t use the 2GB internal memory at all. I don’t use it.
I seriously doubt RIM fixed this. If they did I might be interested in this new Storm2…. Because OS 6 is interesting, but they got to prove they understand what the user wants. So far they persist to tell us what we should want.
How many years of yelling and screaming did we have to do to get the WebKit browser? I have been complaining about the browser since at least 2006 that it was crap… They kept saying how great the web browser was ignoring the truth. It has ALWAYS been garbage, even in the early years. I started with a Pearl and was happy as punch when Opera Mini came out because at least it rendered pages at a reasonable pace.
The new WebKit with a better graphics GPU and CPU looks like a winner. We shall see if RIM is listening.
Let’s hope they ditch the track pad its more trouble than I care to deal with. I have the bold and I had a security app installed and little did I know it was screwing with the track pad just like it screwed with my Storm 2 screen. Hay RIM I’ll take mines as a solid screen please! Like you did with the Storm one or two.
Oh and to your statement about the two gig. That’s storage space what we need is more room for apps. 2-300 mb’ s ain’t cutting it. I wish there was an update so I could run a gig of apps. Blackberries will always have customers. Now we may come and go but for the most part I think many will be back more than stay away. It’s something about the Blackberries that seem always draw you back. I should know I have a Droid X and it’s not everything the hype says it is and thus I may be selling it. I guess it really boils down to what floats ya boat. The biggest reason I left MY Storm 2 was the loud dropped call alert. NOT FUNNY RIM NOT FUNNY AT ALL!!! If they don’t fix that problem a lawyer will help them to do so one day and maybe they’ll start to LISTEN to their customers.
