Here is another free BlackBerry 8700c offer, this time from Amazon.com. Buy a BlackBerry 8700c for $149.99, 70% of the list price of $499.99, sign up a two your Cingular plan of at least $39.99 per month, download a $150 mail-in rebate from the site, and actually make a penny on the deal.
This is pretty much the same free BlackBerry 8700c offer that we saw from Buy.com a couple of weeks or so ago. If you are in the market for a BlackBerry 8700c, this is definitely a good deal.
Just ordered the 8700c through Amazon. The only drawback is that when I drop my current service with T-Mobile…I won’t be able to pull my old number over. Or will I? Anyone have suggestions on how to do that?
Amazon phone specialist said it takes 12 weeks to process the rebate, and if I request to pull old number from T-Mobile prior to then, that will negate the rebate which means I’d have to pay T-Mobile $100 for 3 months just in order to save my old number. That doesn’t quite make sense.
Well john,
All that I can say is that I have no idea how porting your T-Mobile number to Cingular would invalidate your rebate, however I have not contacted Amazon to try. If I were you, I would call back, just to make sure that porting your number truly does invalidate the $150 rebate.
