Rumor has it that Research in Motion has been testing the next iteration of the BlackBerry Style and it is said that the device has a touch screen. It isn’t clear if the both screens will be touch interactive or just the main screen, however, the rumor also states that RIM is working on making the BlackBerry Style 2 dual hinged, allowing it to open in both portrait and landscape mode.

I think that the dual hinge is probably bigger news than the touch screen. I really want a BlackBerry that you can use in landscape mode that has a physical keyboard. I used to use a SideKick and I have always liked that orientation on a device.
Maybe it’s just me, but, do any of the companies that are kicking RIM’s tale right now have plans on released clamshells, even ones with dual hinges. That is so 3 years ago.
Give me a BlackBerry PlayBook Mini, that is 35% smaller than the one you are about to come out with, let me make phone calls from it, and eliminate the need to pair it with another device.
I think a touch screen style double hinged would be nice. Im not all for a full touch screen phone, I like real keypads and I don’t need extra small phones or tablets, I like my devices to fit firmly and comfortably in my hand and not completely made of screen.
yess!!!!
Best Phone I have ever had is the blackberry style. I love it. Would welcome blackberry style 2. I really also like the new blackberry bold with touch screen, but there is one major problem with it, the scroll button is extremely close to the touch screen. Try to go up with the scroll button and you have touched the touchscreen and phone jumps all over place. Obviously with the style, the scroll is nowhere near the screen. If the style 2 does have a touchscreen, it should be a major hit!
