The Amazon Kindle and eBook readers in general where a big hit this holiday season. eBooks actually outsold real books for the first time and I believe this will be a trend that continues. As convenient, however, as reading a book on a device like the Kindle is in comparison to physical books, there are times when you simply won’t have your Kindle with you. This is one of the reasons that I think, like the Kindle for iPhone app, Kindle for BlackBerry will be a big hit.

I can almost guarantee that I would not enjoy reading a novel on my Blackberry.
I agree wholeheartedly, however, I think that a lot of Kindle owners, would, if they had the opportunity, knock a chapter or two out via their BlackBerry when they are in a situation where the need to kill time and are without their Kindle.
You would be surprised.
I use my Mobipocket reader on my blackberry all the time.
It’s fantastic when I’m travelling for any reason. I can always have my book(s) with me.
I have the Kindle reader on my iPod Touch. I’ve read (literally) a few pages on it. It was not too bad, but I’d rather hold a book in my hand. I guess I can see the point to have it just to have it (i.e. iPhone has it so we should put it on Blackberry too), but I cannot imagine reading more than a few pages on it. I am just saying that if I wasn’t willing to read a book on my iPod Touch I certainly would not want to read one on the even smaller form factor Touch.
