Even though the Palm Pre has been available for well over a month, believe it or not, you were not able to order the device online. That was the case, at least, until today, as the Palm Pre is now available through Sprint’s website.
The Pre will cost you $199.99 on a 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate. You still are going to have to shell out 300 bucks up front to get yourself one. This is kind of unfortunate seeing how the Pre’s biggest competitors, the iPhone and the BlackBerry, can be yours for $100 or more less out the door. At least those who still really want a Pre will probably be able to get one.
I was really awaiting the Palm Pre (I have the Centro), but yes, very disappointed with the fact that it did not have video capabilities, was completely blown away that you HAD TO use webOS and not the palm desktop (I prefer to have the info on my desktop and not on cyber space) The battery life I experienced was a drag (working on a movie set outside does not allow for much outlets to charge the thing as often as it required) and the one main thing that I liked about it over the Iphone was the keyboard… yet the sliding back and forth made the screen giggly right away. So I was bummed about it. Maybe I was the only one that experienced that but it was a bit of a let down. I did learn from it that now I want a solid phone with no “sliding” parts (less to break) I did love the WHERE application and the GPS features with Google maps. Is that available with the Blackberry Tour? What other apps can I get with the Tour? especially considering that you can not save them to the extension card
i like this one. more powerfull ever
why promote another device, this is Blackberry board isn’t it? RIM-arkable…..pre is cute but that just won’t cut it with Blackberry’s…
