It hasn’t been quite a month since Poynt, the self described online version of your local Superpages or Yellow Pages that comes complete with maps – so you can pinpoint nearby businesses, get contact info… and find out how to get there, was updated to support the BlackBerry Storm, however, it appears that it has been updated again to version 1.0.0.29.
I am going to assume Poynt 1.0.0.129 contains just minor bug fixes over version 1.0.0.15 as I haven’t been able to find any release notes or major enhancements to the application.
Poynt is a free BlackBerry download and actually one of the applications what was on our 5 Free BlackBerry Storm Applications Worth Downloading list. Personally I think that Poynt is just one of those applications you should install if you own a BlackBerry.
If you already have Poynt installed it will prompt you to update next time you use it. If you don’t you can install it OTA by point your device’s BlackBerry Browser to http://m.mypoynt.com/crackberry/storm/.
Actually I went to upgrade and it is 1.0.1.159
Will this app work with the bb curve 8330 from alltel
I have a new blackberry Bold #9700, I loaded the POYNT app on my device and it worked well for a couple of days, now it seems to have stop working, when I go to the app all I get is a picture of the green grass with the picture of the sky line, nothing else, it just sits there and does nothing, how do I get it to work again?
please let me know.
Thanks
Stan
I have the BB Tour 9630, updated OS to 5.0 and have the same problem w/ Poynt as well as the Score apps. I find after a batt pull it will work again. You can reboot w/out pulling the batt by pressing alt – CAPS – del.
