Research in Motion yesterday  held its Annual Meeting of Shareholders and when RIM co-CEO, Mike Lazaridis, was asked about BlackBerry 6, RIM’s upcoming, completely revamped, BlackBerry operating system, he had this to say…

The operating system has been put together with more than 15 million lines of software code designed to run a slew of applications “in a seamless way” without using too much battery power and all done “with a few clicks.”

As the BlackBerry has become more mainstream, the key has been “understanding the consumer interaction with the device and doing that without sacrificing the company’s heritage in the enterprise space.”

When you pick it up and start using it (BlackBerry 6) you’re going to see something different

I wouldn’t be telling the truth if I didn’t say that I am exited and eagerly anticipating the release of BlackBerry 6.  I just hope that it doesn’t take as long as some analysts think before BlackBerry 6 is released on a new CDMA BlackBerry…
