Just finished my 2nd show – Thanks for the shout out.
I think Apple has done a great job of creating devices that are usable by the mass market. Apple products are simple and intuitive to use,. Tap the screen/button, and it does a task. Anyone of any age can pick up an iProduct and with almost no instruction make the phone do what they want.
I like that Apple has brought the idea of truly “instant on” applicances to the internet age with the iPad. I’m planning on and iPad being my parents Christmas gift this year. Dad wants to be able to sit on the couch an surf the web, but anytime he has to wait for the computer to turn on, do a update check, do a virus check – he gets impatient. I use my Storm2 to do my web surfing without having to be attached to a desk. I connect to my wifi network and off I go, no wait time for the computer to boot up – “instant on” satisfaction.
I hear RIM is working on a tablet that will connect via Bluetooth to my BB and use it’s data plan while on the road, or via wifi while at home (really looking forward to seeing if this comes to pass).
And yes, the BB broswer need help – but there’s always Opera and Bolt (my choice) as a 3rd party choice.
I’m a poker fan and the problem with these tablet devices that run on iOS, BB 6, Android – what and how do we load sites like FullTilt – Party Poker – and future sites that will come out? Do you think they will create and App for that?
Thanks, for the time and keep up the good work.
