There are two interesting things to notice in this particular ad. First, you will be able to get a Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8330 at Best Buy. Second, said BlackBerry won’t be available until May 1st.
This isn’t definitive proof the Sprint won’t releasing the Curve in April, however, if it does come out today, tomorrow, or Wednesday, the nations biggest electronics chain won’t be the first to offer it.

I never understood why people would buy their phones from a retailer like BestBuy. Not their field of expertise, and I’d guess the service level would drop off.
Oh this only puts us closer to a Verizon BB Curve…. its like being a kid waiting to go inside Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.
…it was bound to happen. VZW has been inserting kiosks at circuit city for years. its a way to target more of the market by leveraging the foot traffic that goes through these stores.
can anyone say “impulse buyer”?
What about the $749.00 regular retail price they are advertising.
What area code is that for, cause I went to the Bestbuy site to do a search through their weekly adds and can’t see anything for the Curve.
I put in my zip code of 20109 and got the same ad. It’s a separate ad from the weekly ad – more of a cell phone ad only (they do it all the time). If you go to the Sprint BB in the fine print it says something about service available in New Jersey??? Not sure what that means as it doesn’t say “only” in NJ??? Who knows…
i am getting out my happy girl dancing shoes! getting line with you JT!
that would be getting IN line with jt ! i just put my zip code 21234 in the ad and sure enough, sale starts tomorrow!
bluehorseshoe, i agree with you on buying from retail stores. so ok, what time tomorrow do i call sprint telesales?
coffee and gym first, work? getting that curve tomorrow will be work, lol!
Called bestbuy in Lakewood CO and they said the curve would be in-store May 15th
when i went to it the price tag said 799.99
actually now bestbuy is really gettin into cell phones, and they send people off to training to learn more about these things from actual rep’s so our baxter store in minnesota learned from at&t reps, tmobile reps and sprint reps thats all they did for a entire week…so they are learing and the blackberry curve for sprint is in the best buy buyers guide
