Remember that mysterious BlackBerry 9000 eBay auction that we talked about about a week ago? Well, not only did it turn out to be legitimate, our colleague Kevin Michaluk over at CrackBerry.com is the proud new owner.
We don’t want to steal any of Kevin’s thunder so head over to CrackBerry.com where they have a boat load of unboxing pictures.
With the 9000 hitting the wild and the leak of pictures regarding the Kickstart, it almost brings down the excitement of the CDMA release of the Curve.
I am so unimpressed with the design of that phone. With my VZW contract up next month (goodbye 8330!) I was planning on going one of three ways: iPhone 2; BB9000, or scooping up the VZW Curve. I just crossed the 9000 off my list. It would be much more appealing in the Curve form factor.
sorry: goodbye 8830!
Amazing that Kevin was able to get this device from ebay! I imagine if Kevin goes to WES he will be among the most popular people there!
the initial review on Crackberry says that the keypad is much better than the 8800 and almost as good as the Curve
of course, after a year of waiting for the Curve to come out on vzw, now we have the 9000 to consider. I give up, I’m just going to buy the curve
It truly is amazing at how much of a premium Verizon BlackBerry subscribers, myself included, put on the strength of Verizon’s network.
Verizon undoubtedly experiences some churn from users that have become tired of waiting up to a year before new BlackBerrys become available, however, overwhelming, users choose to stay with the network.
