Here is an stat that really doesn’t mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things when it comes to how well the BlackBerry is really doing but it is an interesting statistic none the less. The fairly popular PDA site Brighthand says that the BlackBerry is the least popular PDA on it’s site.
Each month, Brighthand publishes a list of the most popular handhelds and smartphones. This report is compiled based on the number of views each product page receives, so every time someone clicks on a product they’re giving it a vote in these monthly rankings.
This listing doesn’t necessarily indicate which models are the best selling, just which ones Brighthand readers are most interesting in learning more about.
Based on almost 26,000 clicks, the BlackBerry 8800 and BlackBerry Pearl come in 9th and 10th spots with 2.5% and 2.2% of total clicks respectively. No matter how you look at it, Brighthand readers are not terribly interested in the BlackBerry devices. Fortunately for RIM, however, Brighthand readers don’t appear to represent an accurate sampling of PDA users.

What no stat on the Moto Q ????? 😉
I think if there’s stats for most bought device, the BlackBerry would definetely be higher and the BlackJack, definetely lower. BlackJack sucks. Alright, fine I’ve never used it before and I can’t be a judge for it.

The poll suggests that BB is the least popular device however if you add the two BB’s together the brand ends up as a strong 2nd place, a far cry from last. You could argue the same for the other devices however those models are drastically different from one another…a misleading poll at best.
I also have to question the Apple iPhone number.
