“They” are Research in Motion and “It” is what the BlackBerry Application Storefront will officially be called. App World kind of sounds cheesy at first so I hope the name grows on me.

Sweet. Let’s hope they release it soon. I’m sick of passing my credit card number around all over town.
I’ll agree with D Train
I think the weakest part of RIM’s move from corporate black tie to the consumer side is their applications offerings. They rely on these other sites to try to provide solutions and they just feel…crappy, to me at least. I think if RIM really wants to play ball as a main stream consumer friendly and viable phone then they’ll need to make sure App World is as user friendly and purchase friendly as possible. They should also start considering how to crack down on the shitty applications that do nothing but drag down their OS.
I was so flustered with my Storm when I first got it because it was so slow and would crash constantly. What I didn’t realize was that it was some of the applications I had on my phone, not the phone itself. They seem to have the Windows complex where people say Windows sucks because it blue screens, well it’s usually a bad application that causes the blue screen, not Windows.
Absolutely App World’s first launch will be a make it or break for profit shares…but luckily these sites can updated on a continuous basis….essentially user friendly is the key…not as much as applications considering that iphone’s biggest download from their app store was ifart…yes that is what the us has come to these days….so bb…don’t fall into that category….don’t fall for the tween demographics…PLEASE
