About a month ago we asked if a BlackBerry 8700t was on the way, but since then, have only heard rumors that we haven’t been able to confirm. Many CrackBerry addicts, however, that want to use a BlackBerry 8700 on the T-Mobile network aren’t necessarily waiting for T-Mobile to release their branded BlackBerry 8700t. Instead, their buying BlackBerry 8700c devices, unlocking them, and using them on the T-Mobile network.

I heard that Feb 2, 2006 8700 may be released for T-Mobile.
Any update, I am really excited to get my hands on an 8700 for T-mobile. I wonder if the UK version will work on the US network.
Haven’t heard an announcement for a T-Mobile 8700 in the United States yet, however, I bet that one will be made soon. You can definately unlock an 8700g and use it on the T-Mobile netowork here in the U.S. The same goes for the 8700c

OK, I know nothing about PDAs, BlackBerrys, etc. I received a Cingular 8700c as a gift (not returnable), but I’m on Verizon’s network and don’t want to switch. I understand some models can be “unlocked.” Does anybody wish to do me a huge favor by explaining what this means, how it’s done, and how to do it? I’d really appreciate it…
Unfortunately KD, you cannot use an unlocked BlackBerry 8700c on Verizon’s network. Verizon uses a different standard.
So when EXACTLY is T-MOBILE going to offer the 8700 in the United States. We had February 2, 2006 but today is February 20, 2006…does anyone know when this will happen?
Come…on…T-mobile executive or management the more you guys/gals wait…the more people get the phone from Cingular get it unlocked and use it on the T-mobile network…so please let us know when the phone will be out and what color…I say color of the phone should be black…similar to the color of the 8700r
I’m pretty sure the 8700 for T-Mobile US will be the same as the 8700g offered by T-Mobile in the UK.
