As many of you may already know the Verizon BlackBerry Storm is a world phone, which means that not only does it run on Verizon’s CDMA network while in the United States, but as well on over 200 GSM networks for voice and 150 networks for data while traveling abroad.
Verizon Wireless customers traveling for business or pleasure in both the U.S. and abroad can use GlobalEmail on their BlackBerry Storms to access corporate e-mail attachments as well as personal or POP3 e-mail accounts. Verizon Wireless’ unlimited GlobalEmail Plan offers one flat-rate data pricing and covers Web browsing, picture messaging and Visual Voice Mail in the U.S. as well as overseas.
GlobalEmail Data Plans will set you back $69.99 a month for a stand-alone data plan or $64.99 a month when added to any voice plan.

If you’re going abroad and don’t want to rent a phone, you’ll pay just about anything to keep your sexy Storm with all your settings and crap while you’re on vacation, on business, or even on the can. Can you hear me now?
I now have an 8830 with the unlimited international data plan. The lack of such a plan for the iPhone is a major reason I haven’t switched. The secondary reason is that the ATT network is not as good as the Verizon network in my opinion. The availability of an unlimited international data plan for the Storm to me is a major advantage.
Btw, does anyone know if the Storm has HTM email?
