It looks like Research in Motion is really trying to get the word out about BlackBerry App World lately with it’s second App World commercial to come out in as many weeks. This spot features Poynt, one of my 10 greatest BlackBerry applications of all time, and, recent winner of the BlackBerry Developer’s Challenge.

Hi Robb – Alex from RIM here.
Thanks for sharing the latest video with your readers. Poynt (http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/844) has been an invaluable tool for me whenever I’m in a new town, and it’s definitely one of my favorite apps.
With the upcoming launch of the BlackBerry PlayBook, we’re working with developers to create compelling apps that customers will love. On that end, we’re supporting platforms that developers will find familiar: the BlackBerry WebWorks SDK (http://devblog.blackberry.com/2011/01/blackberry-webworks-sdk/) and the BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK for Adobe AIR (http://us.blackberry.com/developers/tablet/devresources.jsp?IID=DEVTAB01182011), which supports Adobe Flash and AIR, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. With this offering, we anticipate significant growth in the number and quality of enterprise and consumer apps available in App World (http://appworld.blackberry.com/) when the PlayBook is available for purchase. Everyone can follow the latest and greatest in PlayBook app development at our Inside BlackBerry Developer’s Blog (http://devblog.blackberry.com/).
We’re curious … what other BlackBerry apps are your readers finding useful?
Cheers!
Alex from RIM’s Social Media team
I’m glad to see that folks from RIM actually check out RIMarkable from time to time. I definitely have my favorites when it comes to BlackBerry Applications, however, the best way to find out what apps RIMarkable like is to ask. I will push this question out to Twitter…
