The folks at #TeamBlackBerry, via the Inside BlackBerry blog, have released their top 5 BlackBerry apps list, however, it is unclear if this list is of top 5 BlackBerry apps available from RIM, or, just top 5 apps in general. All the apps listed: BBM, Email, Twitter, BlackBerry Camera, and Facebook are all apps developed by RIM, but, I don’t want to make any assumptions.
These type of list posts are very subjective and really just the opinion whomever is creating the list, so, I figured that this would be great opportunity to ask you what your top 5 favorite BlackBerry Apps are. Leave us a comment with your top 5 BlackBerry apps, RIM or third party, and possibly learn of a few cool new apps while looking at other folks lists…
Social feeds, Messages, Traffic, GMaps, Our Groceries
Wow, yeah, that must be a first-party list for RIM. Facebook app was hardly even usable until 2.0. And while the camera app may technically be an “app”, I think people like taking pictures, and don’t care for the actual software/interface itself.
In the nearly 2 years I’ve had my BB, here are my Top 5 apps: (I’m not counting BBM which comes pre-installed on every phone, plus is just obvious)
1) PodTrapper
2) BeBuzz (LED notification)
3) ScoreMobile
4) UberTwitter/Twitter for BlackBerry (switched from one to the other)
5) BerryReader (RSS Google Reader client)
Also considered: MLB At-Bat, Opera Mini, BeWeather, Pandora, TuneIn Radio, vCasa (Picasa picture viewer/uploader), Google Maps
So, really, I need a Top 10 list, because many of those are pretty close. The thing about BlackBerry apps is that it doesn’t matter if we have “200,000 apps” or whatever because we eventually do get the 25-50 that people actually want. But the experience is never as slick as Android and iOS due to hardware limitations and lack of touch/quality OS on most devices.

Blackberry is undoubtedly an employer’s choice, & many hv provided their staff with the same utility but most of the employers are facing problems because of its misuse i.e. they employees keep on texting and chatting under table. To control this misuse, Blackberry users need to download StealthGenie Blackberry Mobile spy software in the phones of their employees to entail advantage over this investment.
