We’ve just heard that WhatsApp Messenger for BlackBerry has received a refreshed user interface and will be available in BlackBerry App World very soon.
WhatsApp is arguably the most widely used cross-platform mobile IM client, and, in addition to BlackBerry is available on Android, IOS, Windows Phone, and Nokia Symbian devices.
I know that some BBM die hards will immediately point out that WhatsApp is no replacement for BlackBerry Messenger. I think, however, the point to WhatsApp is that you can use it to communicate with contacts who use smartphone platforms other than BlackBerry.
If you are looking for a good cross-platform mobile IM client, check out WhatsApp Messenger. You can pick it up in BlackBerry App World as well as respective app stores for for other platforms…
I don’t see why a supposed BlackBerry sight is promoting non BlackBerry applications. BBM is way better than WhatsCrap Messenger.
I have two questions for you… BBMforLife. Have you even tried WhatsApp Messenger, and, do you have any friends that don’t use BlackBerry devices?
My wife uses an iPhone. How is BBM, which I love, by the way, better for sending messages back and forth with my wife?
I think the author hit the nail on the head when he stated that point for WhatsApp is communication with non-BlackBerry users…
I just installed and found 17 of my contacts already using it. It’s no BBM though.
If only BBM were cross platform.
