It looks like the BlackBerry websites and message boards are buzzing with news and speculation about the next consumer oriented device from Research in Motion, the BlackBerry 8300, which we just found out today may carry the name BlackBerry Curve just like RIM’s first consumer oriented BlackBerry carries the name Pearl.
One of the big questions about the BlackBerry Curve is which carrier will offer the the device first. We are hearing that it could be T-Mobile, AT&T, or possibly even Sprint, although I find that one kind of hard to believe Sprint could offer any device, let alone a BlackBerry, first.
Who do you think will release the BlackBerry Curve First? There is a lot of good discussion about it going on in the BlackBerry 8300 discussion thread on BlackBerry Forums.
I think that AT&T/Cingular will offer it first. T-Mobile just came out with the 8820 and it wouldn’t make sense to eat into those sales by releasing a similar device so soon.
On thing
One thing is for sure… It won’t be verizon.
funny thing verizon is america’s most reliable network but they are the last to carry any of the latest and greatest tools. tmobie blows them out of the water when it comes to technology. i really hope verizon gets it sooner rather than later!!!!
Uh…. “America’s most reliable network” is a verizon myth, lets stay to real world facts instead of advertising and vealot fantasy.
i work for t mobile and lets just say there is an email goin round saying we are getting it in may…..
Ok i been waiting out on the 8800 because i thought the 8300 was coming out soon for T-Mobile does anyone knows when the 8300 is coming out ??????
I have confirmation from my T-mo contact that they won’t be releasing the 8300, but will jump to the 8320, which will be released by T-mo in June/July.
From my government rep won’t be until at least July. More likely August to coincide with @home service
